Deep in the heart of Gladewater, Texas, the Gladewater Rodeo has been a proud tradition since 1937, when it was founded by Jack Yates. Now nationally recognized as one of Texas’ top rodeos, this event is more than just thrilling rides and tough competition—it’s a family-friendly experience with something for everyone. From the Mutton Bustin’ for the little cowboys and cowgirls to the high-energy PRCA and WPRA events, there’s excitement at every turn. But the Gladewater Rodeo is more than just a rodeo—it’s a place where responsibility, sportsmanship, respect, skill, and lifelong friendships are made.
OUR MISSION
Our mission at the Gladewater Round-Up Rodeo is to provide scholarships to deserving seniors in our are who display exceptional leadership skills, through programs such as FFA, 4H, and others, by way of America’s toughest sport on dirt – rodeo!
